I Never Knew It Could Be Like This

A few years ago a Children’s Ministry leader named Kim came to me and said, “Thank you for letting me do this. I never knew that serving God could be this much fun.” Serving is fun? What’s up with that? Like most of us, she thought that serving had to be all about hard work and duty. She forgot that we serve a God who loves to surprise and delight His children with good things. I’ve seen dozens of volunteers like Kim discover that serving is more about joy than about anything else.

And let’s get real. It’s Children’s Ministry. It’s Jesus and kids. If that’s not fun, I don’t know what is.

As God is unveiling His plans for Southland’s future, He is sending a ton of new kids our way each weekend. Kids who need more of you to step up and say, “Count me in for some fun.” Come serve in Children’s Ministry and let God use you to touch a life, to make a difference, to introduce a child to the God of joy.
