Volunteering in the Children's Ministry is more than just babysitting kids, it's building lasting relationships. Our volunteers are truly connecting with kids and making a difference in their lives. On the flip side, the kids are making a difference in the lives of the volunteers. The following is a portion of an email I received from one of our volunteers last week.
I was really debating on leaving, but was torn because of the commitment that I had made to "my girls." I prayed about it and simply asked God to help me see the plans that he had for me. Last Sunday one of the girls, completely out of the blue, asked me if I was going to stay with their group "forever." I guess it caught me off guard and I hesitated. She jumped up in my lap and with pleading eyes said, "Please stay with us. We love you." Of course, that decision had been made for me. It just never ceases to amaze me how God uses them to get to me. :)
We are blown away every week with the people God sends to the Children's Ministry! God is so good.
